I still dont understand. Can someone explain?
Kabuto works for Orochimaru. So then why is he helping Team 7?
Is because Orochimaru wants Sasuke to pass the exam? If is that the case why if he put the cursed seal on Sasuke`s neck so that he will seek for him and after send the ninjas from the sound village to kill him?

Well, Orochimarus goal is to make Sasuke as strong as possible. Thats why he gave him the cursed seal. He sends the Sound-Ninja after him so he would be forced to use the power of the seal and thereby awaken it.
But Orochimaru also knows that Sasuke, until he has gotten used to the seal, would not be able to fight with his full strength after that, because he learned about the danger that seal puts him in and so he would restrain himself from awaking it again. That is why he sends Kabuto to make sure he gets through the exam and can fight one of his other minions later on where he could witness Sasukes abilities himself.
